peak is an interesting read and very good at describing exactly why it is that deliberate practice is effective (and why grinding hours mindlessly is not)

focus is a book about finding focus and simplifying to what’s essential

mindfulness is always important, for more than just getting good at things

zen habits has a lot of good stuff, usually somewhat related to staying mindful. i especially like this post about beginner’s mind, and this one about learning
